Job Overview
Street Corner Buffalo Station is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Store Manager for our C-Store and Fuel Station location in Ipswich, SD. We are willing to pay for the commute from Aberdeen or other surrounding cities. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily store operations, managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining inventory control. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, operational expertise, and a passion for retail management to drive sales and enhance store performance.
Duties
- Lead and supervise all store activities, including sales, customer service, inventory management, and staff scheduling
- Recruit, interview, train, and develop team members to ensure high performance and excellent customer experiences
- Manage daily cash handling, POS systems, and financial transactions accurately and securely
- Oversee inventory control, purchasing, pricing strategies, and stock replenishment to maximize profitability
- Implement merchandising plans and marketing initiatives to attract customers and boost sales
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and legal regulations at all times
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and foster a positive team environment
Skills
- Proven management experience in retail or convenience store environments with supervisory responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of POS systems, inventory management software, and basic bookkeeping principles
- Demonstrated leadership in team management, training & development, and operational oversight
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform retail math calculations efficiently
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across shift operations
- Proficient in customer service delivery with phone etiquette and conflict resolution skills
- Strong managerial communication skills to lead staff meetings and coordinate tasks seamlessly
Pay: $48,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
