Job Overview
HUNTER EXPRESS US INC. is looking for mechanics to join us at our Romulus terminal to perform all levels of preventive maintenance and Scheduled Maintenance required by MTO or Company standard on Trailers. Diagnose to identify faults, malfunctions and repair company trailers on a timely basis. Inspect air brake systems, wheel bearings, hub seals, tires, door repairs, roof repairs and other important parts to confirm that they are in proper operating condition.
Duties
o Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system
o Complete DOT inspections and PMs on the trailers
o Change tires on the trailers
o Fix doors hinges or and other damages on trailers
o Utilize hand tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble components
Test and adjust air brake systems
o Identify warrantable repairs and documents on repair/ Work order
o Follow instruction from Maintenance Coordinators/ Supervisor/ Lead Mechanic and Management.
o Perform general housekeeping duties and all other responsibilities as assigned
Skills
o Experience as a mechanic with a focus on trailer maintenance
o Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical schematics
o Understanding of air brake systems
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
