Maintenance Technician – NEW SpringHill Suites by Marriott | Leeds, AL
Be part of something new from the beginning! The newly opening SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Leeds is seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our opening team. This position plays an important role in maintaining guest rooms, public areas, and hotel systems to ensure an exceptional guest experience from day one.
Pay: $18.00–$20.00 per hour based on experience
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel
- Troubleshoot guest room issues including HVAC/PTAC units, plumbing, electrical, and appliances
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks and work orders in a timely manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas
- Assist with painting, carpentry, drywall, and general property upkeep
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff
- Help ensure hotel safety standards and Marriott brand standards are maintained
- Participate in occasional after-hours or emergency calls as needed
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance, hotel, or apartment maintenance experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repair work
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Must be dependable and able to lift up to 50 pounds
- HVAC/EPA certification is a plus but not required
