Shop Foreman – Har-Con Mechanical

We are seeking an experienced, organized, and hands-on Shop Foreman to lead the daily operations of our mechanical construction and service shop. This position is responsible for overseeing shop personnel, maintaining equipment and inventory, ensuring quality workmanship, and keeping the shop operating in a safe, organized, and efficient manner.
The ideal candidate enjoys leading others, and takes pride in running an organized, high-performing shop.
Responsibilities
· Supervise the day-to-day operations of the mechanical shop.
· Lead and coordinate shop personnel to ensure productivity and quality workmanship.
· Coordinate with project managers, service managers, field supervisors, and warehouse personnel.
· Manage inventory of materials, fittings, tools, equipment, and consumables.
· Ensure field crews receive the correct materials and equipment in a timely manner.
· Inspect fabricated components for quality and compliance with project requirements.
· Maintain shop organization, cleanliness, and efficiency.
· Schedule maintenance and repairs for company equipment and shop tools.
· Enforce company safety policies and maintain a safe work environment.
· Train and mentor shop personnel while promoting accountability and teamwork.
· Assist in improving shop processes, workflow, and overall operational efficiency.
Qualifications
· Previous leadership or foreman experience preferred.
· Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
· Experience managing inventory and coordinating material logistics.
· Excellent communication and organizational skills.
· Forklift certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
· Valid driver's license.
