Overview:
We are looking for a part-time Bobarista/Ice Cream Server, where you’ll be the friendly face that creates memorable moments for our guests! NO SEASONAL APPLICANTS PLEASE! This role is aimed towards local college students seeking a part-time position while in school, however, all applications will be considered.
In this dynamic role, you’ll whip up delicious ice cream treats, serve boba drinks, operate POS systems with precision, and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, fun environment. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help ensure every guest leaves with a smile and a sweet experience to remember. This paid position offers the opportunity to develop valuable skills in food handling, sales, and hospitality while working in a lively café or retail setting.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting flavors of ice cream or drink, and toppings
- Prepare, scoop / draw, and serve ice cream and softserve items accurately, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met to ensure high-level customer satisfaction
- Operate Square POS systems efficiently for order processing and cash handling
- Upsell additional products or upgrades to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including food prep stations, serving and kitchen counters, and seating areas
- Operating cash register to ring up orders for customers and process sales transactions, handle cash transactions accurately, giving correct change and balancing cash tips at shift end
- Support food safety protocols by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning equipment, checking and restocking supplies, helping move/ organize delivered inventory and as needed to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications:
- Friendly personality
- Must be able to work independently and as a team player
- Must be detail oriented
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Square is a plus
- Strong customer focus and service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Basic math skills for cash handling, register balancing, and retail math calculations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must be able to reliably commute to work
- Food service or café experience is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is essential
Pay range: 15-20$/hr + generous tips
