F.C. Dadson is a Retail and Commercial Casework manufacturer seeking multiple Associates to join our Production team. We specialize in designing, engineering, fabricating, fulfilling, and installing retail environments, kiosks, and merchandising displays that meet our end user’s needs. F.C. We are looking to add two Assemblers and one Machine Operator to our Production team.
The Edgebander/Machine Operator is a skilled technician who sets up, operates, and maintains machinery to apply protective and decorative edging to the exposed edges of panels like MDF or particleboard. The Operator is responsible for feeding panels, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring the final product meets quality standards for smoothness and adhesion.
Machine Operator Tasks:
- Complete standard and routine production tasks in accordance with established procedures and timelines.
- Utilize all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Verify measurements to ensure final products align with order specifications.
- Performs machine setup activities to prepare equipment for operation.
- Operates machinery in accordance with established procedures and production requirements.
- Apply total quality control principles by utilizing appropriate measurement and inspection tools to verify that parts meet required tolerances.
- Maintain all equipment by executing preventive maintenance tasks and following manufacturer operating and care guidelines.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and coordinate necessary repairs with maintenance personnel or external service providers.
- Maintain accurate and up to date inventory records for all materials and supplies.
- Perform quality control (QC) tests as required to verify product compliance with specifications.
- Ensure all products meet or exceed quality expectations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by adhering to established housekeeping and safety procedures.
- Interprets and applies product specifications as indicated on production labels.
Our Assemblers are responsible for accurately assembling cabinets, casework, and millwork components according to shop drawings and quality standards. They ensure all parts fit properly, hardware is installed correctly, and finished products are ready for shipment while maintaining a strong focus on craftsmanship, safety, and attention to detail.
Assembler Tasks:
- Collaborate with Design and Engineering to clarify requirements and ensure production and aesthetic standards are met for each project.
- Complete standard and routine production tasks in accordance with established procedures and timelines.
- Perform quality control tests as required to verify product compliance with specifications.
- Ensure the timely, accurate, and high-quality execution of production orders.
- Assemble fabricated cabinets using pre‑cut and kitted wood components, following established assembly procedures and quality standards.
- Perform additional finishing tasks, including sanding, installing drawers, and fitting hardware.
- Utilize adhesives, fasteners, clamps, and other assembly tools to securely join and fit components during the construction process.
- Interpret and apply specifications, drawings, and product detail sheets to execute assigned work accurately.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accuracy throughout the assembly process.
- Operate woodworking machinery to produce finished edges and to bore or route holes required for fasteners and structural components.
- Utilize all required Personal Protective Equipment.
- Verify measurements to ensure final products align with order specifications.
- Perform precision inlay work for metal fit and showcase/display assemblies involving integrated materials such as glass, fabric, and LED lighting.
- Ensure all materials are properly staged and prepared in accordance with project specifications.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date inventory records for all materials and supplies.
- Maintain all equipment by executing preventive maintenance tasks and following manufacturer operating and care guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by adhering to established housekeeping and safety procedures.
Competencies for both positions:
- Sharp observation skills to identify, correct, and prevent product defects or inconsistencies.
- Ability to detect malfunctions through sound or visual indicators and perform minor repairs.
- Ability to work with precise measurements.
