Job Description
An employer is looking for a Patient Access Representative within a call center environment in the Los Angeles, CA area. This person will be responsible for handling about 50+ calls per day for multiple specialties in the Los Angeles area. The job responsibilities include but are not limited to: answering phones, triaging patients, providing directions/parking instructions, contacting clinic facility to notify if a patient is running late, scheduling and rescheduling patients' appointments, verifying insurances, and assisting with referrals/follow up care, speaking with clinical staff, responding to voicemails/emails, and handling work queue items. This position is fully on-site for training. Once trained, it will go fully remote (on average based on performance you could go remote anywhere from 2-3 months). Shift time will either be a start time between 7:45am-9am for an 8 hour shift. Training will be 8:30am-5pm however.
Pay: $25/hr
Duration: 6+ month contract with high potential for extension and conversion

Training 2-3 months on-site, then fully remote

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Medical scheduling: 1 year (Required)
- Epic: 1 year (Preferred)
