About the Foster Care Caseworker Role
As a Foster Care Caseworker within our Children and Youth team, you'll play a vital role in supporting children and families through strength-based services. This position is ideal for someone who is compassionate, adaptable, and thrives in fast-paced environments where collaboration matters.
Starting Salary: $24/hour
Foster Care Caseworker Core Responsibilities
- Actively recruit new foster families
- Complete in person and collateral contacts
- Home studies for perspective resource families
- Conduct ongoing training and engagement activities
- Maintain resource family records
- Testify in court as needed and ensure accurate and timely recordkeeping
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 college credits in social sciences such as sociology, psychology, or criminal justice; OR
- Two years of relevant paraprofessional experience and two years of college including 12 social science credits; OR
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience that includes 12 social science credits and one year of case management
- Ability to manage time effectively and respond to changing priorities
- A valid driver’s license, acceptable motor vehicle record, and reliable transportation

Location & Schedule
This position is based in Pike County, PA. Work is primarily in office and community based. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Evening availability may be required.
