Principle Responsibilities:
- Understand plant equipment, production systems, and overall equipment functionality.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and daily equipment inspections to identify potential issues before failures occur.
- Respond to machine breakdowns and troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues.
- Diagnose, locate, and repair malfunctioning systems and components using appropriate test equipment.
- Repair or replace worn, defective, or damaged machine components.
- Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, motors, control devices, starters, and related equipment.
- Test electrical systems and circuit continuity in wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, electrical code specifications, and schematics to effectively troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment.
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude by assisting with small projects, equipment installations, modifications, improvement projects, major repairs, and equipment rebuilds.
- Understand the basic principles of OEM interfaces and manufacturing equipment controls.
- Complete work orders accurately using the company’s Computerized Maintenance Management System.
- Properly document parts used, labor hours, repair details, and equipment status updates.
- Support production by responding to maintenance requests in a timely manner and communicating repair progress to supervisors and production personnel.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
- Follow all Lockout/Tagout, OSHA, and company safety procedures; monitor safety program requirements, take appropriate action, and report any issues.
- Perform minor facility maintenance, including lighting, plumbing, painting, and general building repairs as needed.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma, General Educational Development Diploma (GED) or equivalent experience.
- Working knowledge of PLC, I/O Logic, AC/DC drives a must.
- Knowledge of safe operating procedures including lockout/tagout.
- Must be able to successfully use basic, math, writing, and reading skills necessary to complete the required paperwork and projects. Able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications.
- Computer literate.
- 5+ years Industrial Electrician experience required with preferred background in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to walk and remain on feet for extended periods of time.
- Must have valid driver’s license and be able to drive a vehicle.
