JOB
This position would focus on programming at Green Street Recreation Center as well as neighborhood parks and facilities. Its primary focus is working daily with the supervisor to develop and plan programs and events for the community based on input from local neighborhoods and residents. The position works independently to provide programs but under the direction of supervisor. Candidate would also support division community and special events. The purpose of this position is to oversee and monitor after school and summer camps on site. This is accomplished by supervising staff to ensure performance of daily required duties and tasks; overseeing the safety of all enrolled participants; carrying out programs and activities set forth by the program coordinator; transporting participants; and performing other job duties related to the program.

Monitors program participation by leading activities; ensuring safety precautions are taken at all times; setting up and taking down activities; facilitating programs; and maintaining schedules.

Supervises site staff by ensuring all duties and responsibilities are met for the program and reporting any and all discipline issues to the program coordinator.

Provides customer service by meeting the needs of all participants as well as parents or guardians during programs; handling issues and concerns with parents or guardians when applicable; and referring all other issues to the program coordinator as needed.
