Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and safety-conscious Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A / B Truck Driver to join our Company. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers and various specialized trucks to deliver freight efficiently across the 5 Boroughs. Your expertise in driving different types of trucks, including trailers, flatbeds, Moffett/ Piggyback trucks (Forklift Mounted on Truck) , will ensure timely deliveries.
Duties
- Safely operate a variety of commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers and specialized equipment such as flatbeds, Moffett / Piggyback (Forklift Mounted on Truck)
- Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with federal and state regulations
- Follow designated routes for delivery and pick-up, ensuring timely arrivals at each destination
- Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries.
Experience
- Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and proven experience operating tractor-trailers in various conditions
- Experience driving different types of trucks including trailers, flatbeds, Moffett/ Piggyback trucks (Forklift Mounted on Truck)
- Knowledge of the 5 Boroughs
- Ability to handle freight securely using equipment like forklifts when applicable
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial trucking and cargo handling
