About the Role
Cameratta Companies is seeking a Civil or Environmental Engineer to support the design, permitting, and construction of large-scale master-planned residential communities in Southwest Florida. You'll work on active land development projects—oversee the earthwork, installation of drainage, utilities, restoration plantings, and other elements of site development —collaborating with in-house teams, outside consultants, and local agencies.
Responsibilities
- Review site development plans, grading, drainage, utility designs, restoration and environmental work
- Develop and maintain project data and mapping
- Support stormwater management and environmental permitting through agencies such as ACOE, SFWMD, FDEP, and Lee County
- Produce construction drawings, exhibits, and technical reports
- Perform quantity takeoffs, calculations, and design reviews
- Coordinate with engineering consultants, surveyors, and contractors
- Track design and permitting progress and support construction administration
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Experience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS)
- Strong general computer skills (Microsoft Office / Excel; comfort learning project software)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- EIT/EI certification or PE license (or actively pursuing) (see note below)
- Experience in land development, site civil, or residential/master-planned projects
- Familiarity with Florida permitting and stormwater regulations
- Experience with Hydrology/hydraulics or drainage modeling software
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $80,000 - $120,000
- Benefits: Health insurance, PTO, Bonuses
Pay: $60,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
