Job Summary
We are seeking a positive and friendly Front Desk Receptionist to join our team! In this vital role, you will provide exceptional customer service, administrative support, assist with daily operations and perform light cleaning to maintain a clean, organized and welcoming environment. Duties
- Help maintain a welcoming, safe and professional environment.
- Maintain a positive, outgoing attitude while providing excellent customer service.
- Demonstrate reliability, punctuality and professionalism.
- Greet members and guests in a friendly, professional manner.
- Check members in and verify membership status.
- Answer phones and general inquiries.
- Assist with membership sales, renewals and cancellations.
- Resolve member questions and concerns - or direct them to the appropriate team member.
- Keep the front desk, lobby and common areas clean and organized.
- Restock retail items, beverages and other supplies.
- Perform light cleaning, such as wiping counters and organizing equipment as needed.
- Report maintenance or safety concerns to management.
- Enforce gym policies and procedures.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and notify management when necessary.
- Demonstrate initiative, self-motivation and independent work ethic, identifying and completing tasks with minimal supervision.
- Work collaboratively with staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Maintain effective communication with members, guests and team members.
Desired Experience, Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR certification
- Previous customer service experience (1+ years preferred)
- Basic computer proficiency
- Professional phone communication skills
- Point-of-Sale (POS) system experience
