We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while effectively promoting and selling our products. As a Sales Associate, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment and ensuring that customers have a positive shopping experience.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations.
- Utilize upselling techniques to enhance the customer shopping experience and increase sales.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for processing transactions, including cash handling, credit card payments and financing.
- Maintain product displays and ensure that the sales floor is clean, organized, and well merchandised.
- Assist in supervising junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and contribute to overall store success.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or furniture store environments is preferred but not required.
- Strong phone etiquette skills for handling customer calls effectively.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for sales and helping customers find the right products for their needs.
