Legends Behavioral is seeking compassionate, dedicated, and skilled Mental Health Practitioners to join our growing team for day and overnight shifts. In this rewarding role, you will provide high-quality behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a wide range of mental health and behavioral challenges. Working in a collaborative, client-centered environment, you will help individuals build coping skills, stabilize during times of crisis, and achieve their treatment goals through evidence-based care.
Whether working during the day or overnight, you will play an essential role in ensuring the safety, well-being, and recovery of our clients while contributing to a supportive and professional treatment team.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and contribute to diagnostic evaluations using established clinical documentation standards and ICD-10 coding.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, behavioral therapy, and solution-focused approaches.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling services based on client needs and treatment goals.
- Respond effectively to behavioral health crises by implementing de-escalation techniques, crisis intervention strategies, and appropriate safety protocols.
- Monitor and support clients during scheduled shifts, including overnight supervision, ensuring a safe, therapeutic, and structured environment.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, case managers, community providers, and family members to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) while maintaining HIPAA compliance and ethical standards.
- Assist clients with developing healthy coping strategies, emotional regulation, daily living skills, and relapse prevention planning.
- Participate in treatment team meetings, case reviews, and ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
- Support clients with co-occurring disorders, trauma, PTSD, grief, developmental disabilities, and autism spectrum disorder, as appropriate.
- Provide therapeutic engagement during overnight shifts, including client observation, crisis response, documentation, and continuity of care for incoming day staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Services, or a related behavioral health field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LICSW, or other applicable mental health credential preferred.
- Experience working in behavioral health, psychiatric, residential, crisis stabilization, inpatient, outpatient, or community mental health settings.
- Experience serving children, adolescents, adults, or individuals with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorder is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of behavioral health assessments, treatment planning, ICD-10 documentation, and clinical best practices.
- Familiarity with evidence-based interventions, including CBT, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, and addiction counseling.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective in crisis situations while utilizing sound clinical judgment.
- Experience using electronic health record (EHR/EMR) systems for documentation.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations, professional ethics, and client confidentiality standards.

Pay: $25.25 - $30.75 per hour
