We are looking for an energetic, experienced DSP Supervisor (Supervisor) to provide oversight of direct support professionals (DSPs) and assist the Director of JCHAI’s Supported Apartment Program (Director) in managing and providing direct support of individuals living in their own apartments in a community apartment complex.
Supervisor will supervise DSPs to ensure that JCHAI members are safe and successful in their living environment, work, and activities. Duties will include managing member appointments, including medical appointments, and ensuring proper medication processes. This will include coordinating and managing the member transportation schedule to ensure that DSPs are assigned to take members to all appointments and activities. Supervisor will also coordinate and manage the DSP work schedules by assigning all DSP shifts and managing the DSP shift calendar. Supervisor will complete all documentation requirements and assist in ensuring DSPs are compliant as well.
Supervisor will conduct personal member check-ins and weekly apartment reviews for multiple members in multiple apartments to make sure all tasks are being completed. Supervisor will also provide direct member support coverage as needed.
Supervisor will typically work 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week starting between 8am and 12pm, and finishing between 4pm and 9pm. One weekend day may be scheduled each week. For example, weekly schedule may run from Sunday to Thursday (with Friday and Saturday off) OR Tuesday to Saturday (with Sunday and Monday off). Supervisor must have a driver's license, insurance, and a car for driving clients. Supervisor will also be on call at times; on-call duties are shared with Director and other Supervisors. The successful candidate will have at least 1-2 years experience as a DSP Supervisor.
Supervisor will utilize compassion and creativity to enhance the lives of individuals served while ensuring their safety, happiness, and sense of community and belonging. Supervisor will maintain positive and open communication and collaboration with each individual, involved family members, medical professionals, and other service providers as appropriate and needed. Supervisor will maintain thorough, detailed progress notes regarding provided services. DSP will attend required and relevant trainings.

Salary: Will depend upon education and experience.
Position Requirements: 1-2 years experience as supervisor. Possession of valid driver's license, your own car that you are willing to use on the job, and automobile insurance. Must have a High School Diploma.
