Road Service Specialist
Monday – Saturday 5:00 PM – 11:30 PM
HMD is an industry leader in transportation, based in the Chicagoland area. We are currently looking for an experienced Road Service Specialist to assist in the continuation of our success.
Job Description:
- Administrative duties include data entry, daily phone and email communication
- Responding to incoming calls and handling appropriately
- Answer calls and accommodate drivers with repairs that truck or trailer need on the road.
- Assisting drivers on the road with truck breakdowns over the phone.
- Organizing on the road assistance with vendors throughout the US
- Providing coverage for colleagues when needed
- Various other support functions as assigned
Experience:
- Knowledge of tractor, trailer functions: 2 years (Required)
- Basic knowledge of truck & semi mechanical functions: 2 years (Required)
- Previous maintenance or breakdown assistance experience.: 2 years (Required)
- Proficient in spoken and written ENGLISH (Required)
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work effectively both as a team member and independently
- Ability to follow instructions and deliver quality results
- Good communication skills a must.
Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
