We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Industrial Electrician to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems, including high-voltage wiring and low-voltage controls.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system modifications.
- Conduct diagnostics using tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to identify faults in electrical circuits.
- Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and electrical safety procedures.
- Perform preventive maintenance on industrial equipment and electrical infrastructure to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement electrical upgrades or new system installations aligned with project specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including troubleshooting reports, wiring diagrams updates, and inspection logs.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician with a strong background in industrial electrical systems installation and maintenance.
- Commercial electrician experience is highly desirable, especially on construction sites or renovation projects involving complex wiring tasks.
- Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards), NEC (National Electrical Code), and local electrical codes is essential.
- Hands-on experience reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately.
- Skilled in troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other testing devices.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), high-voltage wiring, low-voltage systems, and industrial automation controls.
- Ability to use power tools safely and efficiently while adhering to electrical safety procedures.
- Prior construction site experience or involvement in renovation projects is a plus.
- Handyman skills or general construction knowledge can be beneficial for versatile troubleshooting and repair tasks.
