American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) with 2-3 years of adult, pediatric, and NICU experience for a night shift position at a community hospital.

Community hospital setting within the Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit
-
Cares for adult, pediatric, and NICU (Level 2) patient populations
-
Patient ratio of 1:25
-
Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts from 18:30-7:00

Set schedule of Thursday through Sunday

Will float within scope of practice to meet facility needs
-
No on-call requirements
-
Epic charting system experience required
-
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
-
Community hospital experience required
-
Trauma Level I and/or Level II experience preferred
-
Certifications required: BLS, CRT
-
Preferred certifications: ACLS, NRP, PALS, RRT
-
MD state license required if applicable
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
Experience with ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, and SIMV
-
Skilled in airway management, suctioning, and tracheostomy care
-
Experience with neonatal/pediatric equipment including bubble CPAP and capillary blood gases
-
Proficient in arterial blood gas draws and ABG interpretation
-
Experience with medication delivery systems including MDI and nebulizer treatments
-
Provide respiratory care across Emergency Department, NICU, and Pediatrics settings
-
Manage patients with conditions including ARDS, aspiration, pneumonia, RSV, and respiratory distress syndrome

Perform bronchoscopy assistance and fresh tracheostomy care
-
Conduct patient transport including inter-departmental and ambulance transport
-
Expect to work some holidays and weekends

First-time travelers accepted

Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate

Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius unless otherwise approved

One RTO request permitted
-
Former travelers must separate for a minimum of 90 days after 1 year before returning to the facility

Former permanent employees must be separated for a minimum of 1 year before returning as a traveler
