Position Description:
Wayzata Public Schools is currently seeking a School Social Worker with the ability, skills, and training necessary to work with a broad array of students with and without disabilities in a high school setting.
Responsibilities include: -
Consultation to special education and pre-referral intervention teams

Parent contact
-
Individual and small group support to students with social, emotional and behavioral issues

Crisis intervention and prevention
Qualifications:

Social Work license from Board of Social Work and Board of Teaching required.

Master's Degree in School Social Work required.

LICSW Preferred.

Training and skill in working with diverse populations is desirable.

Experience and willingness to work on general education teams and provide collaborative special education services with general education teachers is required.

Interest in and ability to relate well to secondary school students with and without disabilities.

Experience working with youth with substance abuse and mental health concerns
