Executive Kitchen Operations Manager
Denver, CO | Earning Potential $120,000–$180,000
My Fit Foods is looking for an experienced culinary leader to oversee the daily operations of our Denver production kitchen.
This is not a restaurant Executive Chef position, and it isn’t a desk job. We’re looking for someone who enjoys building teams, creating structure, and leading a high-performing production kitchen while remaining engaged with the people doing the work.
Our meals are produced in large batches and distributed to our retail stores, so success in this role comes from operational excellence, consistency, coaching, and execution.
What We’re Looking For
We’re searching for a mature leader with 5-10+ years of progressive leadership experience in high-volume food operations. Being bilingual is a Plus!
Experience may come from:
- Corporate restaurant groups
- Hotels or resorts
- Grocery or commissary kitchens
- Country clubs
- Catering or banquet operations
- Food manufacturing or large-scale production kitchens
The right candidate understands what “great operations” actually look like. They know how to establish systems, hold people accountable, coach leaders, and maintain high standards without creating unnecessary drama.
What Success Looks Like
You’ll partner with two existing Kitchen Managers who each bring valuable strengths to the operation. Your role is to elevate the entire kitchen by improving execution, consistency, communication, and accountability.
You’ll be expected to:
- Lead daily production while maintaining a strong presence on the floor.
- Coach and develop supervisors and team members.
- Create clear expectations and hold the team accountable.
- Improve operational flow and labor efficiency.
- Maintain exceptional food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ensure recipes, portions, yields, and quality standards are executed consistently.
- Build schedules and staffing plans that position the team for success.
- Identify problems before they become emergencies.
- Drive continuous improvement rather than simply maintaining the status quo.
The Leadership Style We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who leads from the floor, not from behind a desk, but also not someone who spends every minute working a station.
The ideal candidate knows when to jump in, when to coach, and when to step back so the team can grow. They can run an entire shift while staying connected to the people, identifying opportunities, solving problems, and keeping standards high.
They earn respect through consistency, fairness, and follow-through.
Schedule
This is a salaried leadership position. Weekend availability is expected, along with the flexibility that comes with leading a production operation.
