Responsibilities
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery
- Monitor order accuracy and quality control, verifying that dishes meet presentation standards before serving
- Expedite food orders by prioritizing tasks based on order complexity and service flow
- Assist with food handling, plating, and presentation to uphold cleanliness and safety standards
- Maintain organization of orders on the pass station, ensuring clear communication between kitchen and front-of-house teams
- Support food safety protocols by adhering to proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures
- Collaborate with servers and management to resolve any issues related to order accuracy or timing promptly
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, expediting, or food service roles within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with kitchen staff and front-of-house team members
- Knowledge of POS (Point of Sale) systems and basic numeracy skills for order management
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple orders simultaneously in a busy environment
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Previous banquet or large-scale event experience is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining positive customer interactions
