Pay: $18 - $21 per hour
We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) for contract opportunities within K-12 school districts. In this role, you will provide one-on-one and classroom support to students with special needs, assisting with daily activities, promoting independence, and helping students achieve success in the educational environment.

- Provide direct one-on-one support to students with disabilities throughout the school day.
- Assist students with activities of daily living (ADLs), including toileting, feeding, mobility, and personal hygiene, as needed.
- Support students academically, behaviorally, and socially under the direction of classroom teachers and special education staff.
- Implement behavior intervention plans and reinforce positive behavioral strategies.
- Assist with classroom activities, transitions, and inclusion in educational settings.
- Monitor student safety and provide supervision throughout the school day.
- Document student progress and communicate observations to teachers and school staff.
- Foster a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment.
- Minimum of 6 months of recent Personal Care Assistant, Paraprofessional, Behavioral Health, or similar experience.
- Direct experience working in a school setting is required.
- Experience must be within a K-12 educational environment.
- Experience in daycare centers, childcare facilities, residential/group homes, or similar settings does not meet this requirement.
- Experience working within Special Education programs is required, including one or more of the following:
- Autism Support
- Life Skills Support
- Emotional Disturbance/Emotional Support
- Multiple Disabilities
- Behavioral Support
- Other Special Education classrooms or programs
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and families.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation and ability to meet district onboarding requirements.
- Experience supporting students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, or behavioral needs.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and de-escalation strategies.
- CPR/First Aid certification (preferred, not required).
