TEACHER ASSISTANT - JOB DESCRIPTION:
The role and responsibilities of a class TA includes …
- Assist teachers with leading small instructional groups.
- Assist teachers with classroom projects (such as setting up room, bulletin boards, art projects, etc).
- Help with grading papers and inputting grades into Parentlocker.
- Assist by walking students to and from recess and carpool.
- Be available to supervise multiple classes in the yard, at lunch and during AM/PM carpool.
- Able and willing to cover the classroom in the case when a teacher is out and a substitute teacher is unavailable.
- Help with general housekeeping in the classroom.
- Attend in-service sessions as directed by the administration.
- Attend after hours class activities as directed by the administration
QUALIFICATIONS OF A TA
- Should have some experience working with Elementary school children as a tutor, counselor or prior TA experience.
- Maintain confidentiality about students, their families, and other employees outside of the school.
- Maintain professional attitudes and loyalty to the school
- Treat all children with dignity and respect.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
