We are seeking a compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our growing dental team! In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional preventive dental care, educate patients on maintaining optimal oral health, and support the overall patient experience. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque, tartar, and stains.
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current oral health status.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, dietary advice, and preventive care strategies tailored to individual needs.
- Assist the dentist during examinations.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation within electronic health records (EHR) system.
- Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures, to ensure a safe clinical environment compliant with HIPAA regulations.
Skills
- Proficiency in dental software platforms for scheduling, documentation review, and record management.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry and pediatrics.
- Experience with patient care for children of all ages and adults.
- Skilled in chairside assisting, including handling dental equipment and supporting the dentist during various procedures.
- Ability to perform patient care tasks such as vital signs measurement, medical imaging, and patient assessment with professionalism.
- Expertise in healthcare infection prevention and control management to maintain a sterile environment.
- Excellent client communication skills with a focus on providing clear dental care patient education while maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards.
