Job Summary
We are looking for an energetic and personable Server to join our lively team. In this role, you will be the face of our restaurant, providing exceptional guest service while delivering a memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about food and beverage service, skilled in multitasking, and eager to create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist them in seating arrangements, ensuring a smooth flow of service.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, including wine, spirits, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages, with attention to presentation and guest preferences.
- Upsell menu items like appetizers, desserts, or specialty drinks to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Process transactions accurately using POS systems, handle cash or credit payments, and give correct change.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, wine pairings, and beverage options to elevate the dining experience.
Qualifications
- Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred; fine dining or hospitality background is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with an approachable and friendly demeanor.
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy hours while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service standards.
- Food handling certification and understanding of sanitation practices are preferred.
