Overview
We are seeking a skilled Glazier / Installer with a minimum of 7 years of experience in the glazing industry. This position begins as on-call part-time, with the potential to transition to full-time based as the company grows. The ideal candidate is not only reliable and detail-oriented, but also motivated to grow with the company, take initiative, and take on responsibilities that will add long-term value to their professional skillset.
Duties
- Install commercial and residential glass systems including storefronts, windows, sliding patio doors, shower enclosures, mirrors, and railing systems.
- Measure, cut, and fit glass and aluminum framing with precision.
- Neatly apply caulking to seal glass edges for weatherproofing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, vehicle, and tools.
- Load and transport glass and materials safely using a company truck.
- Work independently on small projects as needed.
- Communicate clearly with team members, contractors, and clients.
- Adhere strictly to OSHA and company safety guidelines.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of hands-on experience in the glass and glazing industry.
- Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness and ability to drive a company glass truck.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs, and work at height using ladders or scaffolding.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
- Proficiency in caulking and strong familiarity with standard glazing tools and hardware.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks associated with glazing work.
