In this dynamic role, you will support lead teachers and caregivers in delivering high-quality care and education to children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs. Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans that promote early childhood development and learning through play.
- Support children with activities that foster social-emotional growth, motor skills, language development, and cognitive abilities.
- Provide attentive supervision to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all children.
- Help with classroom organization, including setting up materials and cleaning up after activities.
- Support children with special needs by implementing individualized strategies under supervision, ensuring inclusive participation.
- Engage in routine caregiving tasks such as diapering, feeding, and comforting children as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures.
Skills
- Willing to learn, good work ethic, caring, friendly, will need Current First Aid and CPR and must complete EEC online Training
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting or similar settings.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations; certification in first aid is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and team members.
- Compassionate caregiving skills for working with individuals with disabilities or special needs.
- Enthusiasm for working with children of diverse backgrounds and developmental levels; experience in special education is advantageous. Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
