Soccer Mavericks is seeking a dependable, energetic Goalkeeper Coach/Trainer who is passionate about developing young goalkeepers.
This is a paid, part-time position working with players from U8 through U16. The goalkeeper coach will help players improve their technique, confidence, decision-making, communication, discipline, and overall understanding of the position.
Responsibilities
- Lead organized, age-appropriate goalkeeper training sessions
- Teach fundamental goalkeeper techniques, including handling, footwork, positioning, diving, distribution, and shot-stopping
- Help goalkeepers improve decision-making, communication, and confidence
- Provide clear demonstrations, corrections, and constructive feedback
- Adjust training activities based on age, ability, and developmental needs
- Collaborate with team coaches to support each goalkeeper’s development
- Create a safe, positive, and encouraging training environment
- Set up and put away goalkeeper training equipment
- Arrive prepared and on time for practices, matches, and meetings
- Communicate professionally with players, parents, and other coaches
- Follow Soccer Mavericks’ curriculum and coaching standards
Qualifications
- Previous goalkeeper playing or coaching experience
- Strong understanding of goalkeeper techniques and responsibilities
- Experience working with children or youth athletes
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Dependable, punctual, positive, and willing to learn
- Available during weekday evenings and some weekends
- Goalkeeper coaching certifications, soccer coaching licenses, CPR, First Aid, or AED certification are preferred but not required

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
