Duties
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to inform personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Implement crisis intervention techniques to manage acute situations effectively while ensuring client safety and well-being.
- Develop and monitor treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards, HIPAA regulations, and ethical guidelines.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems for accurate documentation of patient care, progress notes, and medical records.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, case managers, medical professionals, and educators to coordinate comprehensive care for clients with co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities.
- Engage in ongoing research and data collection to enhance clinical practices and contribute to evidence-based treatment strategies.
Requirements
- Valid licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (e.g., LPC, LMFT, LCSW) with active state certification or licensing.
- Proven experience working with children and youth populations in outpatient or inpatient settings; experience with pediatrics is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of psychotherapy modalities such as CBT, psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused care, behavior management, grief counseling, addiction counseling, and gender issues counseling.
- Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and clinical documentation standards.
- Experience delivering telehealth therapy services using HIPAA-compliant platforms; comfort with EMR/EHR systems is essential.
- Ability to manage crisis situations effectively through crisis management techniques; experience in inpatient or hospital settings is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills for client engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration; sensitivity when working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health assessments and treatments; familiarity with psychopharmacology is a plus.

Pay: $92,937.63 - $111,924.89 per year
