Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning of hotel floors using various cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and mops to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following proper procedures outlined in Safety Data Sheets (SDS), ensuring effective sanitation without compromising safety.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to cleaning supplies, furniture, or equipment to support housekeeping operations efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness in public areas including lobbies, hallways, stairwells, and restrooms through routine sanitation and detailed floor care.
- Support hotel housekeeping staff by replenishing supplies, removing trash, and ensuring all areas meet sanitation standards.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns, ensuring guest and staff safety at all times.
- Operate cleaning equipment effectively while adhering to safety protocols for chemical handling and manual handling procedures.
Experience
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience within a hotel or industrial cleaning environment is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and sanitation standards enhances your ability to excel in this role.
- Experience with floor cleaning techniques including vacuuming, polishing, and floor care treatments is essential.
- Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) ensures safe handling of chemicals and equipment.
- Demonstrated customer service skills that promote a positive guest experience through professionalism and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety compliance.
