Department: Shipping / Receiving
Reports To: Warehouse Manager
Overall Responsibility:
Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy; record damages or discrepancies; stocking inventory, moving inventory from floor to shelves and from one warehouse to another (including large items such as exhausts)
Record shipment data such as weight and dimensions; pulling, picking, packing outgoing shipments (including large items such as exhausts)
Physical Requirements:
Sitting, standing for long periods of time, frequent bending, frequent heavy lifting (50 lbs. +) climbing tall ladders
Classification: Non-Exempt
Key Job Duties:
- Receiving and stocking inventory
- Using hand tools and/or power tools
- Inventory control
- Assist in shipping department if necessary
- Performs other duties as assigned by Warehouse Manager
- Maintains regular and prompt attendance
- Packing, sealing, and labeling materials for transport
- Accurately pick and pull parts by comparing part numbers
- Properly and safely pack items to be shipped by courier
- Use ERP system to fulfill and generate shipping labels
- Using hand tools and/or power tools
- Assists in receiving department if necessary
- Performs other duties as assigned by Warehouse Manager
- Maintains regular and prompt attendance
Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Required Skills and Experience:
- Work efficiently with or without supervision
- Following instruction and procedures
- Ability to lift heavy objects or packages (over 50 lbs.)
- Proficient time-management
