Provide leadership for college-wide student retention, persistence, completion, and engagement efforts; Develop and implement strategies that advance student success and support institutional priorities aligned with guided pathways principles and the community vibrancy framework; Use data, assessment, and continuous improvement practices to evaluate outcomes and inform decision-making.
20% - Student Conduct Administration and Campus Climate
Provide leadership and oversight for the student conduct process and behavioral intervention efforts; Ensure the fair, consistent, and educational administration of the Student Code of Conduct and related policies; Review and adjudicate complex student conduct matters, appeals, and cases; Collaborate with college leadership, faculty, staff, and college safety to promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment; Foster a campus climate that embraces proactive educational initiatives to support student accountability and community standards.
20% - Team Leadership and Organizational Development
Supervise, evaluate, mentor, and develop directors, managers, and professional staff within assigned departments; Lead recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and succession planning activities; Support employee engagement and professional development opportunities.
10% - Budget, Resource Management, and Compliance
Prepares, recommends, and manages operating budget for areas of assignment; develops and implements long-term strategic plans and assessment activities; coordinates tracking systems, data collection, analysis, and follow-up; monitors compliance and reporting standards of district, state, and federal regulations.
10% - Collaboration, Partnerships, and College Service
Collaborate with instructional leaders, student affairs departments, and community partners to advance student success goals; Represent the college on district committees, task forces, and professional organizations; Support college initiatives related to enrollment, retention, completion, and student engagement including for special populations and programs; Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned by the Vice President of Student Affairs.
