Job Overview
Fahrenheit AC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead HVAC Service Technician to support our growing service operations. This role is primarily focused on diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of residential and light commercial HVAC systems, with electrical experience considered a strong plus.
The ideal candidate is a true service technician—someone who can confidently troubleshoot systems, identify root causes, and perform high-quality repairs while delivering an excellent customer experience. You will also provide leadership and technical support to other technicians in the field.
This position requires strong hands-on HVAC experience, with the ability to work independently, think critically, and uphold our standards for craftsmanship and professionalism. Electrical knowledge is highly valued, especially as it relates to HVAC systems and controls.

Duties
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC systems
- Perform system diagnostics, identify root causes, and recommend appropriate repair or replacement solutions
- Service and replace components such as capacitors, contactors, relays, motors, thermostats, and control boards
- Perform electrical troubleshooting related to HVAC systems, including low and high voltage components (electrical experience is a plus)
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
- Perform electrical testing using tools such as multimeters and ohmmeters
- Lead and mentor other technicians, providing guidance on diagnostics and best practices
- Ensure all work meets local codes, safety standards, and company quality expectations
- Maintain accurate documentation of service calls, findings, and completed work
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding system condition, recommendations, and next steps
- Support installation or advanced service projects as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on HVAC service experience
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills in HVAC systems
- Proven ability to repair and service air conditioning systems independently
- Experience reading wiring diagrams and schematics
- Strong understanding of electrical components related to HVAC systems
- Ability to work independently and lead technical work in the field
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications
- EPA Certification
- Experience with heat pumps, split systems, package units, mini splits, and air handlers
- Electrical experience in residential/light commercial environments (wiring, breakers, disconnects, controls)
- Experience troubleshooting low and high voltage electrical systems
- Florida HVAC license or working toward licensure

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
