Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver to join our team. We are currently looking for someone to haul salvaged vehicles. We buy from all the different insurance auctions in our area. These are wrecked vehicles that will be loaded and unloaded primarily with forklifts. We have 3 trucks that you would be operating.
- 18 wheeler semi (7 cars)
- Dodge Ram and Trailer (3 cars)
- Rollback (1 car)
We need someone who is comfortable and maybe enjoys transporting vehicles. Safety is a priority to us for both our employees and other people on the road. You would be using company equipment. Respect for both the equipment and also others on the road is 100% crucial.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate trucks, transport vehicles from the auctions.
- Follow traffic laws and transportation safety regulations diligently while responding quickly to traffic changes or unexpected road conditions.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure mechanical soundness and report any issues promptly.
- Properly securing the vehicles on the trailer with ratchets straps and or chains
Experience
- Proven experience operating commercial vehicles such as a 18 wheeler semi.
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems is a plus for performing basic inspections and troubleshooting.
We are located in Georgetown KY
This is a IN PERSON position.
Pay is $26 per hour - 1.5x pay overtime - 3 weeks of annual PTO
