Position Overview
GTI Laboratories is seeking a Full-Time Clinical Specimen Collector to support in-clinic operations in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy routine, consistency, and working in a fast-paced clinical setting. In this position, you will perform venipuncture and blood collection procedures while also collecting and handling specimens that support pathology, hematology, toxicology, and medication management testing. Your work will directly contribute to accurate diagnostic results and positive patient outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Collect urine and other specimens for toxicology, medication management, hematology, and pathology testing
- Work directly with patients to ensure a professional and comfortable collection experience
- Verify patient identity and ensure accurate labeling and documentation
- Complete requisitions thoroughly (patient demographics, physician information, ordered tests)
- Follow all laboratory SOPs, safety protocols, and HIPAA regulations
- Maintain specimen integrity and proper handling procedures
- Process, package, and prepare specimens for transport
- Track and document specimens using approved logs/manifests
- Identify and communicate collection issues or discrepancies
- Collaborate with clinic staff and internal teams to maintain smooth daily operations
- Participate in ongoing training and team meetings

Location: Aurora, CO
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Hours: 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy, specimen collection, medical assisting, or related clinical experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in venipuncture and blood collection
- Experience with toxicology, medication management, hematology, or pathology collections preferred
- Phlebotomy certification preferred but not required
- Strong communication and patient interaction skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based clinical environment
- Basic proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office
- Professional, dependable, and patient-focused
Pay & Benefits
Pay: $23.00– $25.00 per hour (DOE)
