Position Summary
The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing mitigation and reconstruction projects from initial site arrival through job completion. This role includes performing MIT readings, documenting conditions in Encircle, coordinating RECON setup when required, managing subcontractors, maintaining jobsite safety, and ensuring all work meets company standards. The Superintendent ensures accurate documentation, clear communication with Project Managers, and consistent progress updates throughout the project lifecycle.
Key ResponsibilitiesMitigation (MIT) Responsibilities
- Perform initial MIT walkthroughs and document all conditions in Encircle.
- Complete and upload all MIT readings (moisture, humidity, temperature) according to company standards.
- Ensure proper placement and operation of mitigation equipment.
- Monitor daily drying progress and adjust equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, photos, and updates in Encircle.
- Communicate any scope changes or concerns to the Project Manager immediately.
Reconstruction (RECON) Responsibilities
- When a RECON is required, ensure the RECON setup is completed accurately in Encircle.
- Verify that the RECON project name and legal entity match the MIT file.
- Coordinate with subcontractors for demolition, repairs, and reconstruction activities.
- Oversee jobsite safety, cleanliness, and compliance with company standards.
- Ensure all RECON work aligns with approved scope and client expectations.
Project Coordination
- Work closely with Project Managers to maintain schedule, budget, and job progress.
- Provide daily jobsite updates, including photos, notes, and progress reports.
- Attend onsite meetings with clients, adjusters, and internal teams as needed.
- Ensure smooth transitions between MIT and RECON phases.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain complete and accurate job documentation in Encircle.
- Ensure all MIT and RECON forms, readings, and photos are completed on time.
- Follow company SOPs for MIT readings, RECON setup, and jobsite reporting.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Client Interaction
- Communicate professionally with property managers, ownership groups, and onsite contacts.
- Provide clear expectations regarding timelines, access, and jobsite requirements.
- Support Project Managers in delivering a positive client experience throughout the project.
Professional Development
- Stay current on mitigation and reconstruction best practices.
- Attend internal training sessions, including MIT/RECON SOP reviews.
- Maintain professional appearance and adhere to company dress code.
Qualifications
- 2 or more years of experience in mitigation, restoration, construction, or related field
- Strong understanding of drying equipment, moisture readings, and jobsite safety
- Experience with Encircle or similar job documentation platforms
- Ability to manage multiple job sites and subcontractors
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally to job sites

- Occasional statewide travel only during major disaster events when additional support is required
