Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Front Desk Coordinator to join our team at Minimally Invasive Spine Center of South Florida. This individual will provide administrative support to the medical office, ensuring smooth daily operations. We are a small office and dedicated to helping each other provide the best possible quality care to our patients. We are looking for a motivated candidate with a passion to help and grow within the healthcare business. We are looking for someone who is searching for a stable job and is able to work in a fast-paced working environment, while still delivering excellent service to our patients.
PAY IS NEGOTIABLE, DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries.
- Perform patient check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring accurate information is entered into the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure all documentation is up-to-date.
- Process patient information and verify insurance coverage.
- Assist with medical billing processes as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate smooth patient flow.
- Assist medical providers during patient examinations and treatments when necessary.
- Coordinate patient referrals, lab tests, and follow-up appointments.
- Handle billing and coding for insurance claims and ensure proper documentation for reimbursement.
- Ensure that office supplies are stocked and that the office environment is clean and organized.
- Assist with the processing of medical records, prescriptions, and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Perform general office duties such as faxing, scanning, and other administrative tasks.
Skills
- Be able to exhibit good judgment and a strong sense of practicality
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and interpersonal skills
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus.
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is REQUIRED.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, office equipment, and EHR systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual (Spanish)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
