Responsibilities
- Greet prospective residents warmly and provide detailed tours of available properties, highlighting features and amenities to generate interest.
- Manage the leasing process from initial inquiry to lease signing, including application review, background checks, and contract preparation.
- Utilize property management software such as Rent Manager, Yardi or OneSite to accurately enter data, process applications, and maintain organized records.
- Ensure compliance with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), Section 8, Fair Housing laws, and other relevant regulations during all leasing activities.
- Handle legal administrative tasks related to lease agreements, contracts, and tenant documentation with precision and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with property maintenance teams to coordinate move-ins/move-outs and address resident concerns promptly.
- Upsell additional services or amenities to enhance resident experience while maintaining excellent phone etiquette and conflict management skills.
- Maintain thorough filing systems, data entry accuracy, and office organization to support smooth daily operations.
- Foster positive relationships with current tenants through excellent customer service and ongoing communication.
- Assist in marketing efforts by promoting available units via phone calls, emails, or community events to maximize occupancy rates.
Experience
- Proven experience in property leasing or real estate administrative roles with a strong understanding of property management practices.
- Familiarity with Yardi, OneSite, Rent Manager or similar property management software is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Landlord-Tenant Law, and Fair Housing laws is essential for compliance.
- Prior legal administrative experience or familiarity with contracts enhances your ability to manage leasing documentation effectively.
- Demonstrated success in sales or upselling within a customer service environment; excellent negotiation skills are a plus.
- Office experience involving data entry, filing, phone etiquette, and conflict resolution will support your success in this role.
- Strong organizational skills combined with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting are key assets.
