The Maintenance Mechanic is a critical member of the EDCO Products manufacturing team, responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production equipment at our Hopkins, MN facility. This hands-on role troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime and support production goals. Working closely with production and maintenance team members, the Maintenance Mechanic plays a key role in driving equipment reliability, workplace safety, product quality, and continuous improvement initiatives. Success in this role requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, a proactive approach to preventative maintenance, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive manufacturing environment. This is a full-time, non-exempt position that reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and is regularly scheduled Monday through Thursday, from 1:30 p.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Maintenance:

Utilize electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and control knowledge to perform break-fix and preventative maintenance on machines, tooling, equipment and building/facilities

Utilize CMMS (maintenance management system) to prioritize tasks, investigate prior work on equipment, document completed work and shape future preventative maintenance requirements

Promote and participate in a culture of continuous improvement; focusing on safety, quality and reliability of our equipment and processes

Work cross functionally with other maintenance team members and operations personnel to ensure we EDCO Operations can meet customer needs

Performing all duties while maintaining strict compliance to internal and regulatory safety requirements, such as OSHA standards; Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), hot works and PPE policy

Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency (Required).

Completion of vocation training in high school or technical degree

2+ years of general mechanical, preventative maintenance, electrical and troubleshooting experience.
Working Environment

Industrial manufacturing environment with loud equipment, moving mechanical parts and very hot work areas.

Individual is regularly required to stand, walk, use steps, stoop and crouch. Must be able to occasionally lift 50 lbs. or more.
