Bring your expertise in speech-language pathology to an elementary school setting where you’ll make a real impact on developing communication skills in young learners. This contract assignment covers the school year from late August 2026 through late May 2027, offering a dynamic, supportive environment with collaboration at its core. You’ll work closely with another in-house SLP and guide an SLP-A, ensuring students receive high-quality, individualized support both as a case manager and a service provider.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Missouri state license (or eligibility) for SLP
- Experience working in a school setting, particularly at the elementary level
- Strong case management and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with other professionals, including SLP-As and educators
- Skilled in providing direct services, performing evaluations, and crafting effective IEP goals
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload consisting of 21 students for case management and a total of 76 students as a service provider (with SLP-A support)
- Oversee and coordinate SLP-A activities, ensuring consistency and quality of student care
- Conduct evaluations, develop and implement IEPs, and provide direct speech-language therapy services
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support educational outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication with staff and families
