The Real Estate Paralegal is responsible for supporting attorneys and clients throughout residential and commercial real estate transactions. This position manages files from contract to closing, prepares legal documents, coordinates with lenders, title companies, real estate agents, and clients.
Responsibilities
- Open, organize, and manage residential real estate transaction files.
- Review purchase contracts, amendments, and related transaction documents.
- Order title searches, title commitments, surveys,.
- Prepare closing disclosures, settlement statements, deeds, affidavits, title documents, and other closing-related documents.
- Coordinate with buyers, sellers, lenders, real estate agents, and title insurance underwriters to facilitate timely closings.
- Review lender instructions and prepare loan packages for closing.
- Schedule and coordinate real estate closings, including remote and in-person settlements.
Qualifications Required
- Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent legal experience as a Real Estate Paralegal
- Minimum of 2 years of real estate paralegal experience, preferably in North Carolina residential and/or commercial transactions.
- Knowledge of North Carolina real estate closing procedures and title insurance practices.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Conduct post-closing activities, including recording documents, disbursing funds, issuing title policies, and closing file audits.
- Communicate professionally with clients and provide exceptional customer service throughout the transaction process.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
