ETC Solutions is seeking an SME-level Training Specialist to support a mission-critical U.S. Coast Guard software delivery program based in Kearneysville, WV. You will be the connective tissue between technical development teams and operational end-users — designing, developing, and delivering training programs that ensure rapidly released software achieves immediate user adoption and mission impact.
This is a hybrid position: a mix of on-site work in Kearneysville, WV and remote work.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and deliver user-centric training programs, curriculum, user guides, and instructional media for newly developed software applications
- Translate complex software features into easily understood operational processes
- Serve as instructional lead and liaison between development teams and end-users
- Facilitate live training sessions, workshops, and user engagement programs aligned to release schedules
- Conduct training needs assessments and evaluate course effectiveness for continuous curriculum improvement
- Maintain a current repository of documentation, SOPs, quick-reference guides, and training aids
- Ensure training delivery complies with federal security guidelines and DISA STIGs
Must-Have Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret clearance (required — no exceptions)
- 10+ years of relevant experience (or commensurate)
- Experience as an instructional designer or software training specialist in a large enterprise IT, software engineering, or federal environment
- Proven track record creating structured training materials — student guides, job aids, video tutorials, e-learning modules — for complex software applications
- Strong understanding of the SDLC, Agile methodologies, and training alignment with rapid release cycles
- Experience facilitating live technical instruction for both technical personnel and operational end-users
- Proficiency with enterprise tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or ServiceNow
Nice to Have
- Prior support of U.S. Coast Guard, DHS, or federal programs
- CPTD, CSM, or ITIL certifications
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or digital adoption platforms (DAPs)

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
