Prepares balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports. Responsibilities also include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Reports organization's finances to management, and offers suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies, and assumptions underlying budget forecasts. Has knowledge of commonly-usedconcepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- General ledger journal entries, P&L, balance sheet reconciliation and reporting
- Preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements
- Multi-entity international consolidations and eliminations
- Multi-entity subledger reporting and reconciliation of inventory, A/P, and A/R
- Daily bank deposits and customer credit posting
- Assist and back-up A/P (vouchering and check runs)
- Assist and back-up A/R
- Maintains fixed asset documentation
- Expense research for all departments
- Financial analysis and departmental reports
- Multiple bank reconciliations
- Freight profitability reporting
- Co-op reconciliation and reporting
- Budget preparation
- Personal property taxes
- Assistance with annual financial audits
- Back-up and assistance for commission reconciliation and reporting
- Assists with related special projects as required
- Performs other duties as assigned by manager
Preferred Skills & Abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (Pivot tables, ‘V” look ups)
- Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.

- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
- Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
- Excellent financial analysis capabilities
- Ability to communicate complex financial issues in simple, understandable terms
- Familiarity with the operation of automated General Ledger Accounting systems
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or a minimum of 2 yearsrelated experience
Physical Requirements:
- Occasional reaching forward/overhead/extension
- Occasional light lifting, up to 20 lbs.
- Frequent walking, stepping over low objects
- Occasional overtime or irregular hours
- Cross training in other quality positions
