Responsibilities
- Operate the cash register and POS (Point of Sale) systems to process retail sales transactions efficiently and accurately
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries or demos
- Handle cash drawer operations, including cash handling, balancing registers, and reconciling sales at shift end
- Upsell products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase store sales opportunities
- Maintain knowledge of store products through regular merchandising updates and product demos to confidently assist customers
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and inviting
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Supervise or assist in supervising team members during busy periods to ensure smooth store operations
- Assist with inventory management tasks such as stocking, inventory counts, and product placement to optimize sales potential
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math for accurate transactions
- Supervising experience or leadership roles within retail settings are advantageous
- Bilingual skills are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on friendly phone etiquette and customer interaction
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and balancing registers
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and upselling strategies
- Experience with grocery store operations or similar fast-paced environments is beneficial

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
