Commercial Fire & Security Systems Technician

What You’ll Do

Install, program, service, and maintain commercial fire alarms, burglar alarms, access control systems, video surveillance systems, and structured cabling.

Troubleshoot life-safety and security systems accurately and efficiently.

Read and interpret blueprints, plans, specifications, and project documentation.

Run conduit, pull cable, terminate devices, and complete clean, professional installations.

Ensure all work meets applicable codes, standards, and company expectations.

Perform inspections, testing, preventive maintenance, and system repairs.

Maintain accurate service records and project documentation.
-
Partner with our Client Experience Team to provide responsive, customer-first service.

Represent Solid Security | Technology with professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
What You Bring
-
At least three years of experience with commercial low-voltage, security, or fire-alarm systems.

Experience with DMP, Fire-Lite, Silent-Knight, Resideo Vista or comparable systems.

Experience with Hanwha, Axis or other IP surveillance components and video management systems.
-
ESA, BICSI, ASIS, CompTIA, NICET certification, or active progress toward certification.

Familiarity with NFPA inspection and testing procedures.

Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.

A clean driving record and professional presentation.

A high school diploma or GED.
-
A commitment to safe, neat, and code-compliant work.
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Ability to climb and work from ladders.

Comfort working in varied environments, including rooftops, attics, and mechanical rooms.

Ability to perform the physical duties associated with commercial installation and service work.
