Assistant Property Manager

We are seeking an experienced, organized, and customer-focused Assistant Property Manager to help lead the daily operations of our apartment community. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who is passionate about property management, resident satisfaction, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate has strong leasing and collections experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while supporting the Property Manager in achieving community goals.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Property Manager with the day-to-day operations of the community.
- Oversee leasing activities and support occupancy and resident retention goals.
- Manage rent collections, delinquency, and resident accounts.
- Prepare notices, process move-ins and move-outs, and maintain accurate resident files.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by professionally resolving resident concerns and requests.
- Assist with lease renewals and ensure compliance with Fair Housing and company policies.
- Monitor work order completion and coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure resident satisfaction.
- Prepare reports, maintain records, and assist with administrative and financial functions.
- Support marketing initiatives and maintain knowledge of current pricing and availability.
- Serve as acting Property Manager in the Manager's absence.
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 2 years of apartment property management experience, including leasing and administrative responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of rent collections, resident relations, and leasing operations
- Excellent communication, customer service, and conflict resolution skills
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software
- Ability to work Saturdays as part of a rotating schedule
Preferred:
- Experience with OneSite or similar property management software
- Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and landlord-tenant regulations
- Previous experience supervising or mentoring team members
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
