POSITION SUMMARY
The Machinist I position is an entry level position for machining and fabricating. The individual should have basic concepts and working knowledge of measuring instruments including micrometers and calipers as well as vertical mills and lathes. The main responsibility of this position is to machine and produce products to print and/or direction. Individuals will be tasked to work with engineering and other machinists to develop products and habits conducive to company standards.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develops and Fabricates parts, fixtures, and assemblies using metal forming, machining and joining equipment

Possess listening/Learning skills

Good Communication skills for your development and company enhancement

Fabricates, Builds, Assembles, Verifies and Maintains set-up of test fixture

Performs dimensional inspections and material inspections as needed

Assembles prototype products which meet customer specifications and delivery requirements

Promotes an associate relations environment that is consistent with long term management objectives

Possesses Mechanical Background

Education
-
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
Functional Experience
-
Ability to read complex engineering drawings preferred.

Basic knowledge of electricity and measuring equipment

Basic knowledge of the properties of a variety of construction materials.

Basic working knowledge of measuring equipment (Calipers, Micrometers, etc.)
Industry Experience
-
2 years experience is preferred
