Responsible for providing strategic leadership for Cleveland State University’s (CSU) international student recruitment and admissions efforts. Develops and implements recruitment strategies, overseeing enrollment goals for undergraduate and graduate international students, and managing relationships with prospective students, families, agents, and global partners. Responsible for developing and managing international articulation and transfer agreements with institutions outside the US. Supervises staff and student employees, manages operational processes and systems, ensures compliance with CSU and immigration policies, and collaborates with academic units and University Marketing on communications publications, and outreach initiatives. Responsible for analyzing enrollment trends and data to inform decision- making and continuous improvement. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in education, business, communications, international relations, or related field.
- Five (5) years of professional experience in recruitment, student services, or admissions counseling for international students.
- Two (2) years of leadership and/or supervisor experience.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain driver eligibility under CSU’s Motor Vehicle Policy.
- Ability to travel frequently both domestically and internationally, and to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. Valid passport or ability to obtain one.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in higher education, business, communications, international relations, or related field.
- Experience as an international admissions counselor or recruiter at a public institution.
- Experience using social media for recruitment purposes.
- Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) software.
- Experience working with various student populations, including low-income, first-generation, ethnic, high school, and non-traditional students.

- Strong organizational and decision-making skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, including delivering clear and engaging presentations.
- Ability to take initiative, make sound decisions, and efficiently organize time, tasks effectively, and projects.
- Ability to effectively engage with team members when issues arise to ensure appropriate communication and develop effective resolution plans.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
