Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join our vibrant property management team. In this role, you will support the overall operations of residential and commercial properties, ensuring exceptional tenant experiences and efficient property performance. Your proactive approach will help foster positive relationships with residents, vendors, and team members while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations. Responsibilities
- Assist in managing day-to-day property operations, including leasing, rent collection, and tenant relations
- Support lease administration processes, including application screening, lease signing, and renewals using property management software such as Yardi or OneSite
- Coordinate property maintenance requests and facilities management tasks to ensure properties remain in excellent condition
- Maintain accurate records through data entry, filing, and updating property management systems through Appfolio.
- Help enforce Fair Housing regulations, AHFC guidelines, and Landlord-Tenant laws to ensure legal compliance
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing tenant and owner inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy.
- Assist with marketing efforts such as upselling available units or amenities to prospective tenants and supporting property leasing activities
- Support legal administrative processes including contracts review, conflict management, and documentation for lease agreements or legal notices
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property management or real estate administrative roles with familiarity in office procedures and customer relationship management
- Knowledge of AHFC housing regulations, Fair Housing laws, and landlord-tenant law
- Experience using Appfolio preferred, or similar property management software; proficiency with data entry and filing systems
- Strong understanding of property maintenance procedures and facilities management practices
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with effective conflict resolution abilities
- Demonstrated ability to handle legal documentation such as contracts while maintaining confidentiality
- Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and a friendly demeanor
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
To summarize. Your main job will be assisting the property manager in tenant and owner relations along with deposit transmittals and potentially acquisitions.
Experience is preferred, and you must either be licensed as a real estate agent in Alaska or willing to become licensed.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
